Big Win for Security Forces: Two Terrorists Killed in Kupwara Operation

In a major operation, two terrorists were neutralized in an encounter near the Pichnad Machil area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The encounter took place early in the morning when a joint team of Army and Kupwara police launched a search operation in the area.

According to sources, the terrorists were hiding in the area and opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated promptly. The gunfight continued for several hours, during which two terrorists were eliminated.

The identities of the terrorists have not been revealed yet. However, sources say that they belonged to a Pakistan-based terror outfit. A large cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the site of the encounter.

The search operation is still underway in the area, as security forces suspect the presence of more terrorists in the vicinity. The entire area has been cordoned off, and combing operations are being conducted.

This is the second encounter in the area in the past few days. Earlier, three terrorists were killed in an encounter in the same area. The security forces have intensified their operations in the region, and intelligence inputs suggest that several more terrorists are hiding in the area.

The encounter has once again highlighted the grave security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The state has been witnessing a surge in terror activities in recent months, and security forces have been conducting frequent operations to neutralize the terrorists.
