Russian Hackers Suspected of Hacking India’s Central Health Ministry Website: CERT-In Investigates

New Delhi, India – The website of the Central Health Ministry was hacked on Thursday, and the Indian government suspects that Russian hackers were behind the cyberattack.

According to sources, the hackers gained access to the website and stole sensitive information. The Central Health Ministry has since requested that the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) investigate the matter to determine the full extent of the damage and to help prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

In a statement released to the press, a spokesperson for the Central Health Ministry said, “We take this incident very seriously, and we are working closely with CERT-In to investigate the matter. We are committed to ensuring the security of our digital infrastructure and protecting the sensitive information of our citizens.”

The hack is the latest in a series of cyberattacks targeting Indian government websites, with hackers from Russia and other foreign countries being blamed for similar attacks in the past.

As a result, the Indian government has been increasing its cybersecurity efforts in recent years to safeguard its digital infrastructure and protect sensitive information.

The attack on the Central Health Ministry’s website comes at a time when India is struggling to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, which has overwhelmed the country’s healthcare system.

With the website being a crucial source of information for citizens seeking healthcare-related information and services, the hack has raised concerns about the potential impact on public health.

The Central Health Ministry has assured the public that it is taking all necessary steps to ensure that the website is restored as soon as possible and that no further breaches occur.

In the meantime, citizens have been advised to exercise caution when accessing the website and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately.
