Patna, May 30, 2023 – In a display of deep devotion and spiritual reverence, thousands of devotees flocked to the banks of the holy Ganges on Tuesday to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
The ghats of Patna witnessed an overwhelming influx of people as devotees immersed themselves in the sacred river, firmly believing that their acts of meditation, bathing, and charity would absolve them of their sins and pave the way to salvation.
Ganga Dussehra, celebrated on the tenth day of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of Jyeshtha, holds immense significance for devotees across the country. This year, Patna emerged as a focal point for devotees seeking spiritual rejuvenation, as the city’s ghats offered the perfect setting for the faithful to connect with the divine.
As the first rays of the sun kissed the tranquil waters of the Ganges, the atmosphere became charged with devotion and fervor. He said, “Taking a dip in the holy Ganges on this auspicious day brings immense peace to the soul. It is believed that by meditating, bathing, and engaging in acts of charity, one can cleanse themselves of sins and find spiritual liberation.”
