Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University’s College of Community Science (CCS) Achieves ICAR Accreditation

In a major achievement for Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), the College of Community Science (CCS) located in Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar has been granted accreditation by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

The accreditation process involved a rigorous evaluation of the college’s infrastructure, faculty, research facilities, and academic programs. The ICAR team visited the college and interacted with the faculty, students, and staff to assess the quality of education and research being conducted at the institution.

After a thorough evaluation, the ICAR team concluded that the College of Community Science met the stringent standards set by the council and recommended the grant of accreditation.

The accreditation is valid for a period of five years and is a testament to the college’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and extension in the field of community science.

The College of Community Science offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in subjects such as food science and nutrition, textile and apparel design, human development and family studies, and home science extension and communication management. Speaking on the occasion of the Pradakshina ceremony on 03.04.23, the Vice-Chancellor of RPCAU, Dr. Punyavrat Suvimalendu, congratulated the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Community Science for their hard work and dedication in achieving this milestone.
