Kejriwal Faces 9.5 Hours of CBI Questioning in Alleged Liquor Scam, Asserts AAP is a ‘Kattar Imaandaar Party’

New Delhi, April 17, 2023 – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a staggering 9.5 hours on Saturday in connection with the alleged liquor scam that has rocked the national capital. Kejriwal emerged from the questioning session to assert that the entire alleged liquor scam was fake and that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was a ‘Kattar Imaandaar Party’ or a party of honest people.

Speaking to reporters outside the CBI headquarters, Kejriwal said, “I have answered all the questions put to me by the CBI. I have full faith in the judiciary and I am confident that justice will be done. The entire alleged liquor scam is fake, and AAP is a Kattar Imaandaar Party. They want to finish AAP, but the country’s people are with us.”

The Delhi CM was summoned by the CBI in connection with the excise policy case that has been making headlines for the past few months. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in the granting of licenses to sell liquor in the national capital.

Kejriwal has been at the forefront of the fight against corruption and has been vocal in his criticism of the Modi government’s policies. He has been targeted by the ruling BJP and its allies for his anti-corruption stance, and the alleged liquor scam has been seen as an attempt to tarnish his image and discredit his party.

The AAP has been quick to point out that the charges against Kejriwal are baseless and that the party has nothing to hide. The party has also accused the Modi government of using the CBI as a tool to target its opponents.

The CBI questioning of Kejriwal comes just days after the AAP swept the municipal by-polls in Delhi, winning four out of the five seats. The party’s resounding victory has been seen as a sign of the people’s support for Kejriwal’s clean governance and his commitment to fighting corruption.

The AAP has vowed to continue its fight against corruption and has called on the Modi government to stop using the CBI as a political tool. The party has also urged the judiciary to ensure that justice is done in the excise policy case and that those responsible for any wrongdoing are held accountable.
