The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2023, a highly competitive exam for admission to the 5-year Integrated MSc Program, has been scheduled to take place on June 24, 2023.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in NEST 2023 require that candidates have completed their class XII (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognized board.
Candidates who are appearing for their class XII exams in 2023 can also apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria by August 2023.
The selection process for the 5-year Integrated MSc Program will be based solely on the performance of candidates in the NEST 2023 exam. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in the exam, and the top candidates will be offered admission to the program.

NEST 2023 Exam Pattern
- Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Test (CBT) online exam.
- Questions Type: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Time Duration: 4 hours
- Total Marks: 200
- Sections: 4 different sections – physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Each subject contains 17 questions, out of which 12 will be single correct answer MCQs and 5 will be multiple correct answer MCQs.
- Marking Scheme: 2.5 marks for single correct answer MCQs and 4 marks for multiple correct answer MCQs.
- Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for multiple correct answer MCQs, and 1 mark will be deducted for single correct answer MCQs.
