Lucknow: In a grand ceremony held today in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored 370 outstanding gram panchayats for their commendable contributions to the development of rural communities.
The event also witnessed the distribution of laptops to 3,145-gram panchayat secretaries, as part of the state government’s commitment to empowering rural administration under the ‘Uttar Pradesh Mathrubhumi Yojana’.
The program, organized at a prestigious venue in Lucknow, saw the presence of government officials, dignitaries, and representatives from various gram panchayats across the state. Chief Minister Adityanath commenced the event by emphasizing the vital role played by gram panchayats in fostering progress at the village level and nurturing grassroots governance.
The ‘Uttar Pradesh Mathrubhumi Yojana’ aims to recognize and reward exceptional gram panchayats that have demonstrated outstanding performance in areas such as education, health, sanitation, women’s empowerment, infrastructure development, and social welfare initiatives.
