Bomb Threat Hoax: Youth Arrested as Bomb Squad Conducts Search at Patna Airport

Bomb threat at Bihar Airports: Search operations were conducted by the bomb squad team at Bihar’s Patna airport following a bomb threat call received earlier today. According to officials, the Samastipur police have taken the caller into custody, and initial inquiries reveal that the person had made the call under the influence of alcohol. The phone from which the call was made has also been recovered.

Rajeev Mishra, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, has stated that prima facie, it appears to be a hoax call. “Detailed inquiry is being done,” he added. Meanwhile, the police have arrested a youth named Sudhanshu Shekhar alias Mukund from Punjabi Colony under the Nagar PS area.

According to reports, the accused had threatened to blow up Darbhanga and Patna airports. The police have also seized the mobile phone of the accused.

In the primary investigation, the accused seems to be a mental patient. Further inquiries are underway to determine if there is any involvement of any other persons in the incident.
