In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh was allegedly raped by her lover in Gopalganj, Bihar. The accused, identified as Rahul Kumar, 23, reportedly took the victim to a friend’s room where he allegedly raped her. The incident took place on March 5, 2023.
According to the police, the victim started bleeding profusely after the incident and fearing for her safety, the accused rushed her to a nearby hospital. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The incident came to light when the victim’s family members lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case against Rahul Kumar under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and have launched an investigation into the matter.
The accused is said to be a resident of Bagaha in the West Champaran district, while the victim hails from Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. The police are also looking into the possibility of the involvement of others in the crime.
