Guidelines from the IT Department
The Income Tax Department clarified several points about the rollout of PAN 2.0:
- Existing PAN Cards Remain Valid: Old cardholders do not need to apply for a new PAN card.
- Free Corrections: Updates or corrections to PAN card details can be made without any additional fees.
- Ease of Access: Taxpayers can opt for digital upgrades at no cost.
