Anand Mohan’s Release Imminent as Bihar Government Amends Law

In a significant move, the Bihar government has amended the law that has been obstructing the release of former MP Anand Mohan, who was convicted in the infamous IAS Krishnaiah murder case. With the amendment of the law by the State Home Ministry of the Nitish Kumar government, the way for Anand Mohan’s release is now clear.

The former MP has been lodged in Saharsa jail for his involvement in the murder of Krishnaiah, the then District Magistrate of Gopalganj. However, due to a provision in the law, he was unable to get out of jail, even after serving a considerable amount of time.

The Bihar government, through a notification issued on 10th April, removed the provision that was acting as an obstacle to the release of Anand Mohan. As a result, he may soon be released from prison.

This development has created a stir in political circles, as Anand Mohan is a well-known leader and has been associated with several political parties in the past. His release is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s political scenario.

It remains to be seen when Anand Mohan will be released from jail, but with the amendment of the law, the process is likely to speed up. We will continue to track this story and provide updates as they become available.
