Rajasthan in Shock: National President of Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, Shot Dead in Jaipur, Rajasthan Daylight Attack

Jaipur: The National President of Rajput Karni Sena, Shree Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the Rajasthan president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was shot dead in broad daylight. The assailants, riding a scooty, opened fire on Gogamedi in the Shyam Nagar area, firing two rounds before making a swift escape.

Gogamedi, a prominent figure known for advocating for EWS reservation, was moved to Metro Mass Hospital, Jaipur, for treatment after the attack. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, leading to shockwaves in society.

The incident created a sense of panic within the police administration as news of the shooting spread. Local police and senior officials quickly arrived at the scene, deploying a heavy police force in the area. The assailants, reportedly four in number, had targeted Gogamedi near his residence in Jaipur.

The perpetrators also targeted Gogamedi’s gunman, Narendra, before fleeing the scene. The Shyam Nagar police station is actively engaged in a CCTV investigation to identify and apprehend the attackers.

The shooting occurred behind Dana Paani restaurant in Shyam Nagar. Earlier, Sampat Nehra of the Lawrence Vishnoi gang had issued threats, leading to the submission of a memorandum to the Jaipur Police.

Founder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Gogamedi, a longstanding member of Rashtriya Karni Sena, had formed the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena after a dispute within the organization.

Serving as its president, he gained prominence for his involvement in protests in Rajasthan, particularly during the controversies surrounding the film Padmavat and the encounter case of gangster Anandpal. The untimely demise of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi has left a void in the leadership of the Karni Sena and Rajput community.
