Mahadev Betting App Scandal: 450 Arrested in Mahadev Betting App Scandal – Chhattisgarh CM’s Challenge to the Central Government

In a recent development of the Mahadev betting app scandal, the Chhattisgarh Police has taken a strong stance against the Mahadev betting app, making significant progress in the case. As of now, they have apprehended 450 individuals and registered 72 First Information Reports (FIRs). During these operations, they have also confiscated laptops and cash.

But the situation doesn’t end there. There are allegations from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel. He, however, seems undeterred and has a clear message, “Enjoy till November 17.” According to him, these allegations will not affect the upcoming elections. He believes the BJP is not contesting directly but is using the ED and IT departments as their tools.

Expressing concern over the situation, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel emphasized the role of the Central government in addressing this issue. He stated, “What is the Central government doing? It’s their duty to ban the app and apprehend the accused. We have already issued a lookout circular against the promoters of the Mahadev betting app.”

This statement comes in the wake of allegations made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which claimed to have taken the statement of a ‘cash courier’ involved with the Mahadev betting app promoters based in the United Arab Emirates. This courier alleged that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had received Rs 508 crore from the app’s promoters.

In response to these accusations, the Chhattisgarh government has strongly rejected the claims made by the ED. They have suggested that the central agency is being used as a “weapon” in the lead-up to the state assembly election.

This situation has raised concerns and questions about the ongoing investigation and the political implications surrounding the Mahadev betting app controversy.
