NEET (UG) 2023 Language Confusion Cleared: English or Hindi, Here’s What You Need to Know!

New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) 2023 is all set to be conducted in English and Hindi medium. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that candidates opting for English medium would receive the test booklet in English only, while candidates opting for Hindi medium would be provided with a bilingual test booklet in both Hindi and English.

The clarification from NTA comes after confusion prevailed among the candidates over the medium of the question paper. The agency has urged candidates to carefully choose their preferred language while filling up the application form.

In addition to Hindi and English, NEET (UG) 2023 will also be conducted in 11 other regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Malayalam. However, the test booklet for the regional languages would be in the respective regional language only.

NEET (UG) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses in various colleges across the country. The exam is scheduled to be held on August 6, 2023, and the application process for the same has already begun.

NTA has advised candidates to keep a check on the official website for any updates or changes regarding the exam.
