New Delhi, 27th May 2023: After nearly two and a half years of meticulous planning and construction, the new Parliament House, situated right in front of the historic old Parliament House, is finally complete. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who laid the first stone of the grand structure on 10th December 2020, will inaugurate the new building on Sunday, the 28th of May.
The highly anticipated inauguration ceremony will mark a significant milestone in India’s democratic history as the nation prepares to embrace a modern and state-of-the-art parliamentary complex. The construction of the new Parliament House, spanning over 29 months, has been an extensive endeavor, with a total cost of Rs 973 crore invested in this iconic project.
