Irfan Arrested for Brutal Murder of Girl in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar

In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old girl was brutally murdered by Irfan, a 28-year-old resident of Sangam Vihar, in Delhi’s upscale Malviya Nagar area on Friday. The accused, Irfan, allegedly attacked the girl with an iron rod after she refused to marry him, resulting in her untimely demise.

The horrifying incident unfolded in broad daylight at a park in Malviya Nagar. Eyewitnesses reported that the victim, identified as Nargis Bano, was viciously struck on the head with an iron rod, causing fatal injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, the young woman succumbed to her wounds at the scene.

Following the heinous act, the perpetrator fled the spot, prompting a manhunt by the local authorities. However, swift action by the Delhi Police led to the arrest of Irfan, who had been evading capture since the incident.

Sources revealed that Nargis Bano was the cousin of the accused, Irfan Khan. The motive behind the attack, as uncovered by the police, was her refusal to marry him. The young woman was focused on her studies and decided against marrying Irfan, leading to a tragic end to the situation.

The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter, and the victim’s body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of death and gather critical evidence for the case.

In response to the heart-wrenching loss, the father of the victim expressed his anguish and demanded the harshest punishment for Irfan. He stated, “He (the accused) should be given the death penalty. I had only one girl, I will not leave her (the accused).”

The accused, Irfan Khan, is currently in police custody and will be presented before the court to face charges for the alleged murder of Nargis Bano.

As the investigation unfolds, the entire nation stands united in grief over the senseless loss of a young life and demands justice for the victim. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of addressing issues related to gender-based violence and the need for stringent measures to protect the safety and security of individuals in society.
